I get so excited when I don’t know the next city I will explore or where I will go in the next few months.
This is mostly because I don’t like making plans and all my decisions to travel are made last minute. This was exactly the case with Bergen, Norway. I never thought I would visit neither this city, nor this country as I had many other places waiting on my wish list. Plus I don’t like the rain and cold weather.
But, here I was taking the flight to Bergen, with my small suitcase full of warm winter clothes, in the middle of August.
When I arrived, a warm sun welcomed me, perfect to make a stop in the city center for a few hours before I would get to the apartment.
The general vibe of the city was that people were quite cold. Looking at the fashion style, the girls had similar styles: skinny jeans, sneakers and kong coats, all very beautiful. Men’s styles were different, and if you haven’t heard yet the guys were very handsome and tall, just too tall for me, hahaha.
I particularly loved this day so much, mostly because of the sun who made everything shine, and the colors of the houses looked like out of a story. I loved the houses, made out of wood, all sitting up the hills, making me wonder how did they get there.
The next few days, the sun wasn’t willing to come out anymore, and instead, the rain kept me company, but I wasn’t bothered about it because I went out exploring anyway.
I walked up and down discovering every single corner of Bergen, I also took a tour bus to explore more of the city, I tried good coffee, I walked up the hill to Floyen to see Bergen from the top. I had to do it twice, once in the daytime, and once in the nighttime, which was amazingggg.
